R26 handpump

Can any one give me the correct dimensions of the handpump that is mounted on an R26? I have acquired one, but when collapsed it is too short for the bracket. Either the pump is too short, or I am missing a spring somewhere. Were there different sizes of pump made? My measurements are as follows: body: 27 cm cap: 8 cm. Collapsed it measures 31 cm, and the bracket on my R26 measures 34 cms... so, 3cms too short! Thanks.
