TR500 Spezial Steib BMW shock absorber

I own a R60\2 with original BMW Spezial TR 500 Steib sidecar 1967.
I have a doubt if the Sidecar have or not shock absorber.
In BMW Reparaturanleitung R50 R60 R69S page n. 153 \picture 218 there is strange support (as in my sidecar) in the frame near the brake that looks like done for shock absorber support.
I am unable to get righy information
