Hi. What is Allowed tolerance of the gap at an R51/3 piston ring? Thanks.

The ring gap for the R50 and R60 is 0.25-0.40 mm. The R51/3 and R50 use different compresion pistons but are both the same bore and both 5 ring pistons.

The BMW Workshop Manual states the end gap as 0.2 - 0.4mm for the R51/3
