Fender protection

I just found a great product for coating the underside of your freashly-
restored fenders, to prevent stone chips and dings. In the States it's
made by Dupli-Color and it's called Truck Bed Coating. It's made for spraying
on truck beds as an abrasion-resistant material and it produces a semi-thick
black textured coating, much like the spray-on undercoatings but much tougher.
I just did my R26 and I'm very pleased with the results.

I'm glade to read your note, as I was just wandering
about what to use for this same purpose.
But, please tell me one things :
How much it makes your fender more heavy ?

Back when working in farm, we used to spray thik tar
under trucks' body, it was realy efficient, but unfortunatly,
I think it over weigth to much to be used on motor bike.

Damien,

This coating is not as thick or heavy as typical undercoats.
The whole can weighs about a pound or two and I only used about 2/3 of it.
However it does produce a very tough finish that is much thicker than
paint, and I believe it will do a lot to protect the fenders.
