R75/5 fork leak from top cap

This seems to be a problem on the 3 R75/5 MCs that I have owned; There is always a small leak from the top fork cap; after a day's riding, there's a fine mist of fork oil around that area of the fork. It has a new gasket, with no change. Any Ideas?

Perhaps your fork is overfilled. The initial filling after a rebuild is 280cc, but after draining, refill with only 265cc because 15cc of oil remains inside, most in the cast threaded cup that forms the bottom of the leg, and some on the long coil spring.
