steib s350

Post by frank »

i have a 1954 steib s350 and am in the process of restoring to fit on 68 r50 my steib had a big rusted hole in the bottom and i placed new sheetmetal along the lenth of the body and glued and pop riveted it in place but now after looking at it i need something to place along the bottom ribs to hide the sheetmetal work that now overlaps the bottom ribs the top and sides look good but if you look closely from the front it is obvious that i have repaired it .. also my steib has not got the aluminum strips that cover the seams so i need something ?? i am hoping that someone else has had to buy or make a custom strip to attach to the ribs ??? thank you for any help frank ps feel free to email me direct

You can buy the strips from Ideal:
http://www.ideal-seitenwagen.de/English ... agen_e.htm

You have to learn how to navigate the site to get to the parts lists and the exploded pictures. You want these items (the 6 and 7 are the item numbers in the pictures):
6 S500z6 trimming, 2 m, polished aluminium 20,42 €
7 S131z104 trimming fastener, 12 mm 0,77 €
S500z7 trimming set S 350, compl., without fasteners 100,53 €
