Indicator problem on R80RT

I have just taken the fairing off my 1991 RT, replaced the ignition switch and fitted a new headlamp shell and indicators. Problem is that BOTH my front indicators now flash together like hazard lights when I move switch to either L or R. The rear indicators work fine.And my parking lights dont work either, despite there being current and new bulbs. Am I missing an earthing point? Any idea how I can find the problem? All ideas and suggestions hugely appreciated!
