Do the "sidecar" handlebars (32 71 2 072 200) require the lengthened control cables that are listed for the "high" bars? And are both bars the same, or are the "high" bars US spec?

Hi Roger,
It depends on what model BMW you ride. The R50 - R69S series use the same bowden cables for solo and side car handlebars. The R51/3 - R67/3 use slightly longer cables for the side car handlebars.
The high bars are the US spec with the cross-piece.
Do you have an original BMW parts catalogue (Auxiliary catalogue)? You will find all that type of info in there.
