BMW System 4 Helmets

Am new to bikes and have been looking for a helmet. How come the BMW system 4 is sold everywhere except the US? Looks like a nice helmet. Anyone have any problems with this helmet?? Where is the best place to buy one?? Thanks, Steve

a good place to buy a BMW IV Helmet is the german E-Bay. They have many helmets in different sizes at good prices to sold.

Look at
www.dehobbyist.nl they are selling the system 4 helmet for fl. 699,00 this is $281,12.
I think they are not approved to be used in the US.

The BMW S/4 helmets are not DOT approved, i.e. you could be pulled over and cited by Police. However, is this going to happen in reality??
You should also nerver buy this helmet without trying one on for size. They are very snug and come with various (optional) inserts. I spent ove 2 hours trying them at a dealer before opting for another model. Comfort, next to safety, is everything.
