carburetors

Post by john adler »

I just bought a 1951 R51/3 and would like to find original carburetors for it. If this is not possible, can someone tell me of other options? thanks

The R51/3 had Bing 1/22/41 and 1/22/42. These were then superceded by 1/22/61 and 1/22/62. After the injection moulding dies for the 22mm carbs were totally worn out, BING replaced the carbs with a 24mm venturi version in the form of 1/24/159 and 1/24/160. These are still available today and you will find them in our on-line catalogue.

Best regards,

Mark

Thanks! Unfortunately, I havent been able to respond to you sooner, but have trouble locating these carburetors on the online catalogue. I have tried the search but it only showed a carburettor for an R27... can you help me out? I would like to know their cost please...

Hi John,
Try part numbers 13110039026 (RHS) and 13110039027 (LHS) and you'll find your carbs.
