Looking for a Magneto Repair Specialist in the US?

Hello fellow BeeMeer

My R60/2 US had a burned Magneto when I got them. I wonderl if someone, can tell mea good repair shop I can take them. Thank you!

I don't think the magneto can burn. The rotor is a solid magnet with no wires, and the stator is a big peice of metal.

Maybe you mean that the generator burned. On my R27, first the stator (also known as the field coils or pole housing) burned up. The few years later the rotor developed a short in its wiring. In both cases, I sent the parts here to Huggett for exchange.

Motorrad Elektrik offer a 12V conversion, but I am not sure that they offer to repair or replace the original /2 generator parts. Their generator parts are for the later 12V bikes.

For your /2 I think it would be best to send those parts to Huggett. The parts you get back will be remanufactured as new. I know of no alternative.
