I have removed my R26 original regulator and installed an electronic one, but I have found out it is also faulty. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of 6 volt regulator will work satisfactorily in an R26?

There's only two types, mechanical and electronic, and they both work unless they are faulty. Maybe you are asking what brands of regulators are best. I dont know but I get everything from Huggett because in my experience he has figured out what's best. How did you determine that your original mechanical regulator and your new electrionic regulator were faulty? I would try to return the faulty new regulator to the vendor in exchange for a new one.

Hey Steve, I made only good experiences with my R26 electronic regulator. The problem
may be this specific one you bought which seems to be faulty, but not electronic regulators
in general. You have to be careful when you install it - donĀ“t mix up the connections,
otherwise these little things are damaged and no longer useful.
good luck
