gray smoke

looking to obtain any info on color matchs for the gray smoke for restoration project of r 100s '78. I am basicly looking for color #, color swatchs, and basic technic's on application. Also if anyone can recommend a good book with a great photo would be ideal. BMW stock paints are no longer available in the US so I need to get a decent match
