Could somebody give me some idea about the current range of prices for a R68 which is in a pretty very good status. The unit has been restored from scrap.

Many thanks.
Mickael

Name your own price Mickael. A genuine R68 is one of the most desireable BMWs ever made - outside racing models of course - and will always command a premium.

Because so few were ever made they are rare, and because they were very expensive when new only a limited number of people could afford one.

Here in the UK you might be looking upwards of £10,000, but more often than not it will be listed as "POA"!

Realistic selling price will vary from europe to USA to elsewhere, but I'd think a numbers matching restorable project motorcycle should bring about 5-8000 USD, a fine restored example maybe 12-15000, a fine original 12-18000...1954's, ISDT's are said to be more desirable, 1953's with half hubs much more common and less valuable...IMHO, alot of folks selling these sorta things are in a different solar system expectationwise.
