Hallo, ich bin seit kurzem Besitzer einer BMW R60/2 1967, welche mir sehr viel Freude bereitet. Sie ist Top-restauriert, hat aber zwei kleine Mängel: 1. sie hat Startschwierigkeiten wenn ich sie heiss abstelle und nach einiger Zeit wieder starten möchte. 2. Beide Vergaser tropfen ziemlich stark, wenn ich aus Versehenn einmal den Benzinhahn offen lasse. Ist es eine Dichtung, der Schwimmer oder die Einstellung der Schwmmernadel?

If the bike will not start when hot, the ignition coil could be bad, or you could be "flooding" the engine. If the coil is old, replace it. To prevent flooding, turn the petcock off and allow the engine to run a minute before removing the ignition key. If the engine should become flooded by improper starting procedure, kick several times with full throttle, then with closed throttle.
The carburettors are not fuel shut-off devices. You must always turn the petock off when the engine is not running. Otherwise the carburettors will drip.
