1994 r100r-transmission oil leak into the paralever

No oil is supposed to leak from the transmission output seal into the paralever...mine does. Started when I changed to synthetic transmission oil, have changed back twice to mineral transmission oil, still leaks. Excess oil then comes out of the paralever swingarm vent on left side when bike is parked.

Need to top up now every 200km.

Any simple fix to this problem without taking off the swingarm ?

I have used synthetic gear oil in the transmissions, shafts and final drives during my ownership of an R69S, R100/7, R60/2 and R69US, beginning in 1985. If a seal is going bad, neither synthetic oil nor petroleum oil can restore it. It is also possible that it is not seal problem. Not many people in this forum will be familiar with a 1994 paralever. Perhaps the Airhead Email List at http://www.airheads.org/ or the BoxerWorks Forum at http://www.boxerworks.com will know more.
