R 51/2 timing chain / sprockets

I am overhauling a spare R51/2 engine. Timing chain, crank sprocket and generator sprocket are in bad condition.
Does someone know a good alternative / repair method for the R51/2 timing chain and sprockets or should i just replace them all by new set. Information about modifications for R51/2 racing machines is welcome.

Greetings
Ivo

Dear Ivo,

that is the best opportunity to re-cut your wheels to a 3/8 x 7/32 roller chain instead of the original 3/8 x 5/32 chain.
The roller chain is superior in every way and easy to get. Especially for high revs this modification is necessary anyway.

Dear Sebastian,
Is a standard quality chain sufficient or is there a special requirement.

Thanks for the suggestion.
