R 51/2 oil pump drive

R 51/2 has a long shaft to drive at one end the oil pump, at the other end of the shaft there is a gear driven by the cam shaft.
I need to replace the shaft because it is bended. Can someone explain me how I get the long drive shaft separated from the gear.
Is it a press fit? If so does someone know what fit it is or how much pressure is required to get the shaft out.
