ich höre und lese immer von zwei verschiedenen schwingenversionen an der 75/5, eine kurz und eine langschwinge. kann mir jemand eventuelle vor oder nachteile der einen oder anderen mitteilen und wie stelle ich fest, welche auf meiner 75/5 montiert ist ?

Hallo Namensbruder,
die Kurzschwinge hatte Probleme mit Hochgeschwindigkeitspendeln.
Wenn du an der Hinterachsgetriebeseite an der Schwinge 2 Schweißnähte (in ca5cm Abstand) hast, hast du eine Langschwinge. Ist dort nur eine Naht:Kurzschwinge.

In 1971 the swing arm of the /5 was made longer by cutting each side and welding pieces into the swing arm. You can see these welds. In English, the earlier models were called Short Wheel Base (SWB) and the later models were called Long Wheel Base (LWB).
The short wheel base + wide US bars + upright seating position + luggage on the rear caused the front end to become light and wobble at high speed. I think this was mainly a problem in the US. To eliminate this problem, the wheel base was made longer.
Some riders say that they prefer the short wheel base models because they are more responsive when cornering.
