What is your oppinion about appling a three-angle valve job (like those used recently on VW boxer engines - 30,45 and 60 degrees on the seats, and respectively 44 and 33 degrees on the valves) on our vintage beauties ? (mine is a R51/3 1952).
Thank you in advance,
Ambroziu

Great! and thats what the old BMWs always had and how we still work. Its only been through lesser workshops that the old beemers lost the third angle as not many workshops could afford a "Hunger" or "Minelli" valve seat cutting machines or plainly just could'nt be bothered.

Dear Mark,
Could you please give me some more info about your way of seat cutting, and of course how much does it cost.
Many thanks again,
Ambroziu
