Cylinder Question

Simple question. Will a R50/2 cylinder fit on an R25/26/27 single? The bore and stroke
are the same, but I'm not sure it's that easy. Anyone know?

Also, does anyone know the MPG of an R27?

Hi Jeff

No it will not as the hole in the engine block of the 250cc singles is too small to take the R50 cylinder. You can machine it out though. Basically, if one has the money and expertise to modify, you can make any thing fit. You would also have to change the conrod so that you can utilise the full length of the bore. You'd also have to make new pushrods for the different cylinder length.

Rolf,

MPG is the abreviation and or acronym for Miles Per Gallon.
