R51/3 Headlamp Drawings:

I am looking for exploded pdf drawings (or so) of the Hella headlamp. It is the model with green for neutral and red for charging indicators, all in one lens, beneath the speedometer. I have to rebuild the headlamp and the electric system; the bike is in a horrible situation regarding its electrics. Nothing is original and previous owners made one big mess of it. I have the electric diagram but need to know what parts are fitted, how do they look like and how where they mounted inside. Thank you in advance!
Michael Steinmann.
Att. a picture of the correct lamp type, as found on the web.

It is not clear to me what you want. What do you need a drawing of?
Almost every part of the head light is available new: the bucket, circuit board, lens, reflector, headlight bulb holder, speedometer, headlight switch, and red/blue indicator lens and gasket. However, in the Huggett online shop I do not see the double bulb holder for the two indicator bulbs - that part might be harder to find.
Wiring diagrams are available online, showing how the wiring harness is connected in the bucket. Are you just looking for a wiring diagram? I can probably find a PDF for you.

Allan thanks for your reply; I know these parts are available and I want to send an order to Mark, but: I don't know what to order! Imagine yourself that you have a lamp shell but it is empty. How can I know what is missing inside and where to install every part? Maybe some of the junk I have found inside is correct. The only thing I know that it is a Hella production. Thanks again! Michael.

So you have an empty bucket and need all the parts inside? There is a PDF parts manual at the Lacko Beemer Garage site.
http://www.beemergarage.com/manuals.html
It is in German, but will show you the parts you need, and the part numbers, which will allow you to order the parts.

Dear Allan, I've been at this site already. It shows the lamp alright but only some parts with it. All the rest is missing or not showed right, like the lens of the combined lights (neutral/charging) and some other important parts. I also do not know how to mount the parts inside the shell. I found a galvanized piece brazed inside in a barbarian way and I think previous owner used it as a bracket to carry some electric stuff inside. There are holes drilled, some of them seems to be original. At the catalogue of "Blue Moon" for example(
http://www.bluemooncycle.com/vin_partscatalog.htm), I found some of the internal of this lamp, but again, these are photos of new replica parts and NOT assembly drawings. Hope you can help. Regards, Michael.

Yes, the Blue Moon catalog is much better, and shows all the parts in the head light shell. There is no such thing as an "assembly drawing" other than the exploded parts drawings in catalogs and parts manuals.
It is not clear whether you have the parts. if you have the parts, then from the exploded drawing in the Blue Moon catalog, it should be self-evident as to where they go.
The shell has several holes for cables. It has integral riveted reinforcing around the ear mounting holes. The switch cover and termnal board are held to the shell by metal tabs that are part of the shell (and tend to break after bendng a few times). The red/green indicator lens is held to the shell either by heating a screwdriver to fuse and bend its tabs, or by using a little silicone sealant on its edges. I can't remember how the red/green bulb holder is attached. The speedometer drops in from above and is held by a bent metal U-clamp. The reflector and lens are retained by wire clips in a chrome ring that snaps over the shell and is held by a screw at the bottom.
