R50/60 front engine covers

Does anyone have information on the different front engine covers available for the R50/60 series. There appear to be different depths at the crankshaft end due I presume to different dynamo types.

I was not aware of such a difference in covers. I thought there were only two covers, the second cover being for the vibration damper on the R50S and R69S.
What makes you think there are two covers for R50/60?

Ulis list a 6V cover and a 12V cover. As far as I can tell the 12V version is the standard R69S cover ment to clear the damper. They use ther own part numbers so that can't compare with anyone else. (PAIN).
To further confuse things somtime in 68 on, all twins came with the R69S cover.

Ian emailed me this, indicating there are apparently even more variations in front covers:

I bought a replacement from a BMW club member(UK) which we both thought was the correct one.
It is Identical to my damaged one but only 78mm deep at crankcase end so fouls the allen bolt through the dynamo The one on the engine is about 85mm deep.
I also have a 1960 R50 which is very original. The front cover on it is 85mm deep. The bike was supplied from the factory to the German military police so I am wondering if it is fitted with a heavy duty dynamo?
Ulis catalogue lists two different types while Stemler lists three (without front damper provision) against four different dynamo outputs. I would like to establish a cover depth against dynamo type list for BMW club reference. There is a number cast on the inside of the cover but again I’ve not yet established if this is a casting number or part number."

That would indicate that there are only two covers. The one with the bulge is for the 12V generator or the R69S damper. (What about a 12V R69S?) Two covers is consistent with Ian's measurements of 78mm and 85mm.
Yet Ian also says "Stemler lists three (without front damper provision) against four different dynamo outputs".
