what value is the ignition condenser in the R60/2

Can any one tell me what value the condenser is on the R60/2 and will any condenser that will fit work inthe magneto

I don't know the electrical value, but Bench Mark Works sells a generic Ford condenser so any condenser that fits probably works:

The Ford condenser is nice because it comes with a wire. The Bosch BMW condenser requires that you solder a wire on it, and you can overheat the condenser an ruin it doing this. On the other hand, the Ford condenser comes with its own holder strap soldered around it, which has only one bolt hole. This allows the condenser to rotate if not tightened very securely.

Hi Barry,

I have used a Mini capacitor for many years on my R50 will total reliability. I chose that type as both the mounting fits, the cable is the right length and comes with a ring connector, all of which fits the magneto just nicely.
