My R 26 is causing considerable vibrations in the normal course and while idling. Is it possible to covert the engine mounting similar to R 27 mounting . What parts do I need for this. Is there a conversion kit for this purpose. Does this conversion make appreciable change?

In the subject column of my previous message, inadvertently R37 was typed instead of R27. The error is regretted. Information may kindly be furnished.

I have never heard of this conversion. It cannot be done with parts alone. It would also require welding and machining on both the aluminum engine case and the frame, which is probably too difficult.
My R27 engine shakes in its rubber mounts at idle and low rpm, but the impulses into the frame are muted to a soft throbbing. After the rpms rise to 3000 or more, the throbbing from the engine becomes lost. At cruising speeds, the engine feels as smooth as an electric motor. My R27 engine is smoother at cruising speed than my R60/2 and R69US.
