Hi Beemers,
does any one know how to improve throttle cable control keeping original parts,
because throttle grip never comes back like on modern bikes.
Any tips welcome.
Thank You - Jacek

The throttle will not spring shut by design, as there is a drag spring built into the throttle grip. However, the throttle on my R27 is very easy and smooth to open and close, and will close itself weakly if released.
The slide spring in the carb should be intact and strong. Once my throttle acted strangely, and I found this spring had broken in the middle and the two halves had wound themselves together.
The throttle housing and cam should be cleaned of old hardened grease, and packed full of new grease.
And the teflon-lined stainless steel throttle cable should be used, as sold here by Huggett.
