Oil pump gears

Mark,
There is a noticeable loose fit between the oil pump drive gear and the bearing carrier. Although very slight, I can force the large gear from side to side once its assembled on the pump gear. Is there such a thing as oversize shafts on these gears. What's the best way of fixing this problem....get another bearing carrier.....machine in bushings.....commit suicide????
