Handle unit material

Hello,
I am restoring a R100RS 77. Right handle unit and both levers are seems to be anodised aluminum. Left handle unit and throttle chain cover is painted. I stripped the paint. I wonder if these are aluminum or pot metal? If aluminum I can make them anodised to black. Is there anyone who knows the material?
