I need to replace the headlight dimmer switch on my 1959 R69. The current switch also includes a horn button. Is the correct part number for this 61 31 8048162?
If I want to some day add turn signals to the bike, should I get 61 31 8048195? Does this switch also have the horn button?

Hi Jeff
Yes, you are quite correct. 61 31 8 048 162 is the dimmer switch with horn button. If you wanted to convert your 1959 R69 to have indicators, then you would need the indicator switch 61 31 8 048 152. This was held on to the throttle assembly by an adapter plate which we no longer have in stock and is hard to find. The indicator switch resembles the dimmer switch.

I would strongly recommend that you order a parts a catlogue with all the exploded diagrams. No. is 01 09 9 099 161.

Best regards,
