European License Plate

I am in the process of reconditioning a '64 R27, and am looking for a vintage european
license plate. I had considered trimming the original plate bracket to fit the smaller American
tags, but would prefer to hang the smaller plate over a larger original. If anyone has any thoughts
or leads, I would surely appreciate your time and effort.

Thank You,

Teak

Teak,

Try part #46 625096178 in Mark's Catalogue. Also you should get the Auxiliary Catalogue for
BMW R bike's from Mark also. This will help you in locating proper part numbers for ordering.

Have fun!
Pierre

Hi Teak
The correct number plate bracket for the R26 and R27 is part number 46 62 5 096 178. However, this bracket is larger then the majority of the worlds license plates,.. i.e. it is unusable. It was obviously designed by the teaboy at BMW.
We therefore advise our clients to use the 46 62 5 096 195 from the R50 to R69S which is a far more practical solution and looks much better.

Best regards,

Mark
