R53/3 motor on a R50
R53/3 motor on a R50
Dear friends, is it possible to put on a R50 -1960 (not /2 ) , a R51/3 engine ? Of course the gear box would remain a R50 one.
Are there differences between the two engines ? if yes , which are ?
Michele

Hallo Michele,
no problem, vice versa(5o engine with a 51/3 gearbox) was a little bit difficult, because it was not enough space for the clutch and flywheel.
Difference:50:connecting rod oval shape(Schwertpleuel)51/3 double T-profile(?)(doppel T-Profil),clutch,piston,piston-bolt(18-20mm) and so on and so on.
