Mechanical dipswitch
Can anyone tell me how to replace the R5 dipswitch cable?The inner (headlamp) end seems to have the nipple secured inside a steel pressing which I am reluctant to use a lot of force on.Maybe I have overlooked the simple answer...What other bikes have a similar setup?.Thanks.David.

Engine cylinder finish
What finish will prevent rusting of cast iron side valve cylinders? I have been told that powder coating will be durable but others swear by high temperature aerosol paint but my concern is that aerosols might not coat the surface completely.Any views on the subject?Thanks,Dave.

Hello,Could anyone assist re pinstriping on a 1937 R5?I have the widths of the lines i.e. 1.5mm & 5mm with a gap of 4mm but is the thin line on the outside or not-I seem to recollect seeing photos of the lines both ways.Also the front mudguard had traces of pinstriping.Were there lines on the mu...
