Removing Rear Drive Studs

Can anyone advise on how I can remove the studs (there are 6) which hold the cover on the rear
drive assembly? One is stripped and one seems to have been somehow pused in too
far..can they be pulled out? unscrewed?

If you can remove the nuts holding the cover, then I guess you can remove the cover and expose the full length of the studs. Stuck studs can usually be removed by locking (jamming) two nuts together (double nutting). Then I would get new studs.
