Right carbs for R69S
My R69S was made on 31/8/66. The carbs are 1/26/75 and 1/26/76. Can anyone tell me if these are correct for this year? Understand that the owners manual has this info but have been unable to find copy for 1966. Thanks, Steve

I don't know what you are really trying to achieve. The BINGs 1/26/75 and 1/26/76 are original to the R69S. as were their predecessors 1/26/69 and 1/26/70 and they last versions 1/26/91 and 1/26/92 with the new float chamber lid with valve mechanism. As BING made improvements, the new improved model automatically superseded the predecessor.

Mark, thanks for the response. Before I spent the money to restore the carbs I wanted to make sure that they were the ones that had come on the bike and were not off of an earlier R69S. Am trying to do a visually accurate restoration so that the bike looks the same as it did when first sold. thanks again, Steve
