Bench Mark Works in the US sells a 12V conversion that is well made and very easy to install, but rather expensive at $600 USD.

MB-Z in Berlin sells a 12V conversion with electronic ignition for $300 USD. Several people have installed it, and they report that the instructions are difficult but it works very well:
