R26 carburetor
R26 carburetor
Thanks for the advice guys. My Bing carby on my R26 is giving me a lot of trouble and I believe some people replace them with a Mikuni brand which is more reliable. Can anyone advise what carby will bolt straight onto an R26? If not then what modification will need to be done?
Re: R26 carburetor
Hi Steve,
I don't have any experience with Mikuni carbs but cannot believe that they are more reliable.
The official replacement of the original -not available R26 Bing- carb is the Bing 1/26/123 which is identical with the left hand side (LHS) of the R60/5, R60/6 and R60/7. The sparepart number is 13111259265. You either need to buy the correct flange together with it or have your old flange machined to fit. As far as I remenber, the old flange is too long to mount the replacement carb.
