R27 tank repair panels?
I have an old R27 tank that is perforated by rust around the kneepad holders. I have heard that repair panels are available in Germany. The sides of the tank would be cut out, and these panels welded in. The panels contain new flanges for holding the kneepads. Does anybody know of a source for these repair panels?

Hi Allan
We, as well as others, manufacture just the knee grip holders. No one manufactures a full or part panel as the size would depend on the damage to the old tank. The panelbeater or tinker himself cuts out the damaged area and manufactures a panel to fit. The new knee grip holder is either welded to the panel before fitting or after depending on the preference of the craftsman.
