Piston rings for R50/5

Hi all,

Well, I've always had good luck at this site both for buying parts and
advice for my /2, so I'll try for some /5 help now. I'm working on a
friend's R50/5 and need 1st oversize piston rings, but have been unable
to locate them anywhere. BMW NA (here in the 'states) says they're
no longer available, and I note that a search of the Hugget catalogue
comes up empty as well.

Does anyone have any further ideas? I'd appreciate it very much.

If you know the size of the rings that you want, you might find them by looking for rings in the R50-R69S area of the catalog. There are a lot of just rings there, and they are listed by size, with no mention of what bike.
