R69 Parts

Post by Navroze Contractor »

I have been through your parts catalog and down-loaded everything for R50 and R69s..
fantastic.. but I see very few parts for R69!!!! This bike is not even noted in your 'model search'... so what parts match for which model?

Your help will be very appreciated..
thank you.

Hello there!
In the on-line catalogue, only the model or series range is noted for the search function. If we had to note each individual model, the page would not be big enough and it would mean a few months administration. It is common practice by BMW and knowledge amongst BMW riders that one talks in "ranges" for example:
R51/2 - R68 - All twin cylinder models with plunger suspension. R51/2; R51/3; R67; R67/2; R67/3; R68
R26 - R69S - All earles fork models. R26; R27; R50; R60; R69; R50-2; R50S; R60-2; R69S including US.
R50 - R69S - All twin cylinders models manufactured in this model range R50; R60; R69; R50-2;
R50S; R60-2; R69S including US

The Americans always talk about the "/2" or "slash 2" models which correctly speaking are the twin cylinder models
built from 1960 till 1969 i.e. R50-2; R50S; R60-2; R69S and US models. However, many confuse this and use it as
a general term for all 1955 to 1969 models.

"/5" or "slash 5" models means R50/5; R60/5 ad R75/5.

and so on.....

You see, we have all R69 parts in our on-line catalogue.

Best regards,

Mark
