I am missing the generator cover for a 1939 R23 I am restoring but I haven't been able to find one in the catalogue. Is the cover for the R23 the same as the one for the R24??. I f so, will part number 12 31 8 002 116 be the solution to my problem ?

Hello Max
the generator cover for R/23 is different from R/24. the whole generator is totally different. this cover is hard to find. a possibly good solution i recommend is to produce this cover from polyester fiberglass and the best way to do so is to take a sample from another bike.

Thank you very much for the information, I will try to get hold of a cover from another R23 (if I can find one here in Chile). If I have no luck I will get back to you to ask you for the dimensions of the cover.
