The nut in question (Mutter mit Kerbverzahnung 26 11 3 038 142) must not have any play, but must be properly tightened using the special tool Matra 296. If you have play, this will cause excessive vibration of the drive shaft, and cause the drive shaft to travel up and down the splines causing wear as well as excessive wear on the hardy disk (mitnehmegummi). If your drive shaft has play, even though the nut is tightened, then the spacer washer (Distanzscheibe) 26 11 3 038 125 is missing and or the washer (Unterlagscheibe) 26 11 3 038 144 is missing.
