plunger rear suspension

Could someone advise me on how to remove the rear shocks from a 1951 plunger frame. I removed the driveshaft, wheel and top shock nut, and loosened the remaining bolts. Many thanks. Scott

You have to tap out the big center pin from the BOTTOM out through the top. There is a fellow that makes this drift specifically for the plunger. Go to "beemergarage.com" and click on factory tools.

I used an old 1/2" drive socket of the appropriate OD and a long extension instead of the special tool.
