R26/R27 engine similarities

Can someone tell me if the front crancase casting (that holds the generator ) on an R27 will fit onto a R26 crankcase - more specifically what are the differences between the R26 and R27 bottom ends from a crankcase standpoint.
The key items that I know are different are as follows:  front castings, cam, breather, points advance, generator,engine mounts.

The difference is that the R27 igniton contact is driven by the camshaft, by the R 26 it was driven by the crankshaft, so in my opinion all this parts are absolute different
