1939 R66 float required

Post by Gerry Douglas-Sherwood »

One float on the R66 I work on has a hairline crack. The float is original. Parts are extremely difficult to come by. Is there a model of British Amal that would fit (unlikely), or does someone know of a good repairer or manufacturer of one-off floats? All advice welcome.

Nylon floats are available of almost identical dimensions. They are just a little shorter, but the needle valve can be raised appropriately with washers.
