The Karcoma petcock I have (16121233520) does not allow me to switch to the reserve position as there is not enough clearance between the tank bottom. What are my options aside from cutting part of the tap handle?

Hi Pierre,
Yes that is a problem with some tanks depending on manufacture. Some tanks had a slightly longer gland and they where just about 1mm too short causing the petcock lever to foul on the tank when you try to switch over to reserve. Each tank was slightly different. Many people just file a bit off the lever, others add another fiber gasket as a spacer.
