Hallo Herr Huggett,
ich bin wahrscheinlich der 1002. der Ihnen diese Frage stellt:
Welche Fa. stellt Ihre Kolben her?
Sind es die Originalausrüster wie Mahle,Kolbenschmidt etc.?
Oder Vesuv-Kolben von GPM etc(Vesuv, weil sie bei hohen Temperaturen immer so nett in der Mitte zusammenfallen )?
Falls Sie für Verschiedene Modelle verschiedene Hersteller haben, bräuchte ich für jedes Modell den Hersteller, da ich mehrere Modelle habe und auch nebenbei für andere restauriere.

Piston manufacturers...
We still have ample stocks of KS pistons for R24 - R25/3; R26 and R50.
The other pistons are manufactured for us and are of excellent quality. The R67 and R60 pistons we buy from another dealer. They are motorcar pistons which have been altered. We are not very happy with this solution, but the small quantities of R67 and R60 models does not warrant the expensive tooling.
We will not sell Italian made pistons like GPM or Meteor and what ever they are all called. They are simply crap (Scheisse!).If we were given them for free, we would throw them away.

R67; R67/2 and R67/3 are the identical piston. The difference to an R60 piston is only the 20mm gudgeon pin (130mm conrod).
The R60-2 piston is manufactured for us and is a totally different piston, 5mm higher as the conrod is 5mm shorter (125mm).

endlich mal einer, der seine R25 auch faehrt!
Zum Bleifrei-Thema: Ich fahre meine 25/2
auch seit 40000 km ohne, voellig problemlos.
Ventilspiel hat sich noch nie geaendert.
Zum Kolben: fuer R25 gibt es schoene
mit etwas hoeherer Kompression bei
"Ulis" in Frankfurt. Damit fahre ich auch schon
lange und gut. Und: auch schnell (relativ).
(Vergaseranpassung muss natuerlich sein)

was genau hast du denn geändert?
Ich fahre zur Zeit eine 115er HD+Zündung ca
3° früher als normal.
Noch eine andere Frage meine /2 hat bei ca 100 die Eigenschaft sich absolut böse aufzuschaukeln und zwar (witzigerweise)abhängig vom Luftdruck des hinteren Reifens(d.H.bei mehr als 1.6 atü schaukelt sie sich auf). Irgendwelche Ideen?
